1. Introduction

The Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter organized a comprehensive Orientation Program designed to introduce new students to the functioning, objectives, and benefits of the CSI community. As one of India’s oldest and most prestigious professional bodies for computer science and information technology, CSI provides students with vast opportunities to enhance their technical abilities and professional competencies. The orientation served as the first step in connecting new members with the chapter's mission and vision while promoting active participation throughout the academic year.

2. Purpose of the Orientation Program

The primary purpose of the orientation program was to:

• Make students aware of the significance of joining a professional society like CSI.
• Provide detailed information about the chapter’s structure, leadership, and initiatives.
• Highlight the academic, technical, and career-related benefits of membership.
• Encourage students to participate in the upcoming activities, competitions, and workshops.
• Create a platform for students to interact with mentors, office bearers, and senior members.
