The Aurora’s PG College, Uppal – CSI (Computer Society of India) Student Branch successfully organized an Awareness Program on Programming (Web Programming & Python) and Cyber Safety for 110 students of Classes VIII and IX from Zilla Parishad High School, Peerzadiguda.
The primary objective of this initiative was to ignite interest in technology at an early age, enhance digital literacy, and educate students on the safe and responsible use of digital platforms. The program aimed to bridge the gap between school-level education and emerging technological trends, while also emphasizing the importance of cyber awareness in today’s digitally connected world.
The programming sessions, conducted by Mr. Samuel and Mr. Manoj, provided students with a basic understanding of coding concepts, including an introduction to web programming and Python. The sessions were interactive and engaging, enabling students to grasp fundamental ideas such as logical thinking, problem-solving, and the role of programming in real-world applications. The students actively participated and showed keen enthusiasm toward learning modern technologies.
The Cyber Safety sessions, led by Mrs. Soni and Mr. Kumar Sagar, focused on creating awareness about cyber crimes, online threats, digital ethics, and safe internet practices. The speakers highlighted common cyber risks such as phishing, cyber bullying, and misuse of personal data, while also educating students on preventive measures, secure online behavior, and the importance of protecting personal information.
The entire event was well-planned and effectively coordinated under the guidance of the CSI Student Branch Counsellor, Mr. D. Siva Ranjan Das, with the dedicated support of Faculty Nominees and Student Coordinators. Their collective efforts ensured smooth execution and meaningful engagement throughout the program.
Overall, the awareness program was a great success, leaving a positive impact on the young participants by empowering them with essential technical knowledge and cyber safety awareness, thereby contributing to their holistic development in the digital age.
