Department of Computer Science and Engineering Inaugural Ceremony of CSI Student Chapter - A Grand Success at GNIT

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, successfully organized the Inaugural Ceremony of CSI Student Chapter and Orientation Day on 25th August, 2026.The event was graced by the Chief Guest Dr. Padma Sai Yarlagadda, Chair, IEEE Signal Processing Society, Hyderabad Section.

The program was presided over by Dr. B. Santhosh Kumar, Dean R&D, Head of the Department of CSE. The event was coordinated by Dr. B. Ranjitha, Student Branch Counsellor of CSI and the Office Bearers of CSI Student Chapter.

The Chief Guest emphasized the significance of professional societies like CSI and the career opportunities available to students through active participation in CSI activities, workshops, and competitions. The ceremony witnessed active participation from students of II, III and IV year CSE. The newly elected office bearers of CSI Student Chapter were formally introduced and briefed about their roles and responsibilities. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. S. P. Yadav, Dean Academics and Dr. B. Venkata Ramana Reddy, Principal, GNIT, for their constant encouragement and support in organizing the event.

The inaugural ceremony concluded successfully, fulfilling its objective of fostering professional development, technical excellence and leadership qualities among students.
