ENGINEERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS – REPORT

1. Introduction
The CSI Student Chapter organized Engineers’ Day Celebrations on 15th September 2026 to recognize and celebrate the contributions of engineers to society and technological development.
Engineers’ Day is celebrated in India on 15th September every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s most renowned engineers and statesmen. The day highlights the importance of engineering, innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in the development of the nation.
2. Objectives
The main objectives of the programme were:
- To celebrate the contributions of engineers to society and the nation.
- To create awareness about the importance of engineering and technology.
- To encourage students to develop innovative and problem-solving skills.
- To motivate students to explore emerging technologies.
- To provide students with an opportunity to showcase their technical knowledge and creativity.
- To promote the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
3. Programme Highlights
The Engineers’ Day celebration was conducted with active participation from students and faculty members. The programme included:
- Welcome address by the CSI Student Chapter representatives.
- Brief introduction about Sir M. Visvesvaraya and his contributions.
- Address by the faculty coordinator/HOD.
- Technical presentations and student activities.
- Discussions on the role of engineers in modern society.
- Interactive activities and technical competitions.
- Appreciation of students for their active participation.
- Vote of thanks.
Students actively participated in the programme and demonstrated their interest in engineering, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
4. Outcomes of the Programme
The celebration helped students understand the important role played by engineers in the development of society and the nation. It encouraged students to think creatively, develop technical skills, and apply engineering knowledge to solve real-world problems.
The programme also created awareness about emerging technologies and motivated students to continuously improve their technical and professional skills.
5. Conclusion
The Engineers’ Day Celebration 2026 organized by the CSI Student Chapter was successfully conducted with active participation from students and faculty members. The programme provided a meaningful platform to celebrate the engineering profession and inspire students to become innovative, responsible, and skilled professionals.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all the faculty members, student coordinators, participants, and supporters for their valuable contribution towards the successful organization of the programme.
