Introduction

The CSI Student Branch of SRK Institute of Technology organized its inaugural programme on 28 September 2026 at the Ground Floor Seminar Hall. The programme marked the formal commencement of CSI Student Branch activities at the institution and aimed to introduce students to the objectives, professional activities and opportunities available through the Computer Society of India.

Objectives of the Programme

The programme was organized to formally inaugurate the CSI Student Branch, introduce the newly constituted student committee, create awareness about CSI and its activities, and encourage students to actively participate in technical and professional-development programmes.

About the Chief Guest

The programme was graced by Mr. Challapalli Sudhakar, Nomination Committee Member, an experienced Information Technology professional, mentor and active member associated with the Computer Society of India. He has held leadership responsibilities in the CSI Hyderabad Chapter and has been actively involved in mentoring and guiding students in emerging areas of technology.

Programme Proceedings

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Principal, Heads of Departments, faculty members and students.

The dignitaries were invited onto the dais, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to mark the auspicious beginning of the CSI Student Branch.

The CSI Faculty Coordinator welcomed the gathering and explained the purpose of establishing the CSI Student Branch at SRK Institute of Technology. The students were introduced to the objectives of CSI and the various activities planned under the Student Branch, including technical workshops, coding competitions, hackathons, quizzes, guest lectures, project exhibitions and industry interactions.

The CSI Student Branch Committee for the Academic Year 2026–27 was introduced to the gathering, and the student office bearers were encouraged to take responsibility for planning and conducting CSI activities.

The Principal addressed the gathering and encouraged students to make effective use of the professional and technical opportunities provided through CSI.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Challapalli Sudhakar, addressed the students and shared his knowledge and experience related to CSI, professional development and emerging technologies. His interaction motivated students to actively participate in CSI activities and use the platform to strengthen their technical, leadership and professional skills.

The programme concluded with the felicitation of the Chief Guest, followed by a vote of thanks and a group photograph.

Outcomes of the Programme

The inaugural programme helped students understand the purpose and benefits of the CSI Student Branch. Students gained awareness of opportunities for technical learning, professional networking, leadership and participation in CSI activities. The programme also established a foundation for conducting regular technical and professional-development activities through the CSI Student Branch during the academic year 2026–27.

Conclusion

The CSI Student Branch Inaugural Programme was successfully conducted with the support of the management, Principal, Heads of Departments, faculty members and students. The programme marked an important beginning for the CSI Student Branch at SRK Institute of Technology and encouraged students to actively participate in its future activities.
