The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI&ML) and Information Technology, under the Technical Forum – AURON, organized an Institute-Level Technical Startup Competition titled “TechTank” on 22/08/2026 in association with CSI. The event was organized under the theme Entrepreneurship & Startup with the objective of providing students a platform to present innovative technical startup ideas and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
The competition provided students with an opportunity to pitch their startup ideas before a panel of judges and receive constructive feedback. A total of 12 teams actively participated in the competition, comprising 36 students.
2. Objectives
· To provide a platform for students to pitch innovative technical startup ideas.
· To foster an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking among students.
· To bridge classroom learning with the real-world startup ecosystem.
· To encourage teamwork and collaboration while developing startup ideas.
· To provide exposure to evaluation and mentorship by experienced judges.
· To enhance students’ ability to transform technical ideas into practical startup concepts.

The event received active participation from students through 12 participating teams.
6. Outcome of the Event
The TechTank competition successfully enhanced students’ creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, communication and startup-pitching skills. The event provided practical exposure to the startup ecosystem and enabled students to present their technical ideas before judges and receive constructive feedback.
The competition encouraged students to explore innovative solutions to real-world problems and develop an entrepreneurial approach towards their technical projects and ideas.
