The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI&ML) and Information Technology, under the Departmental Forum – AURON, in association with CSI, organized a 6-hour Hackathon titled “HackSprint” on 29/08/2026. The event was conducted under the theme Innovation & Design Thinking, with the objective of providing students a platform to solve real-world problems through innovative technical solutions within a limited time.
The hackathon provided students with an opportunity to work collaboratively in teams, develop functional prototypes and apply their coding, problem-solving and technical skills to given problem statements. A total of 41 teams with 164 participants actively participated in the hackathon.
2. Objectives
To provide students a platform to solve real-world problems within a limited time.
To improve rapid problem-solving, coding and technical skills.
To encourage innovative and out-of-the-box thinking.
To promote teamwork, collaboration and effective time management.
To identify and nurture technical talent among students.

5. Participation
The hackathon received active participation from 41 teams comprising 164 participants. The participating teams worked collaboratively to develop technical solutions and prototypes within the stipulated 6-hour duration.

7. Outcome of the Event
The HackSprint successfully enhanced students’ technical, problem-solving and collaborative abilities. The participating teams developed prototypes and technical solutions within the stipulated time, providing them with practical experience in rapid development and solving real-world challenges.
The event encouraged students to think innovatively, work effectively under time constraints and apply their technical knowledge to practical problem statements. It also strengthened students’ coding, teamwork, debugging, application-development and presentation skills.
8. Conclusion
The HackSprint 6-Hour Hackathon was successfully conducted with the participation of 41 teams and 164 participants. The event provided a valuable platform for students to apply their technical knowledge, develop innovative solutions and demonstrate their problem-solving abilities.
The involvement of faculty and industry professionals as judges provided students with valuable technical evaluation and exposure to professional perspectives. Overall, the event contributed significantly to promoting innovation, design thinking, teamwork, technical competency and practical problem-solving skills among students.
